About Me

Welcome to French Mom's Secrets! I am glad you stopped by.

My name is Virginie, and I am a mother of 2 young amazing little girls <3. I am originally from Paris, and raised in France until I went for my master in the US. I then lived back and forth between the US (Florida) and Europe - France (Paris, Lyon, the South), Netherlands - my family loves to travel :).
I am an Engineer/MBA, I love working, but recently I have been out of the corporate world so I can have the privilege to share time with our little ones, which I feel very grateful for.

Now the reason for this blog is quite simple: I have been raised with the focus that health is essential in this life: from the activity we do and what we consume...but to the truth is that after having a baby, my healthy routines have been quite shaken, definitely tougher to maintain or even at some point, put to the side, in order to focus on my new work of running a house and being a "good" mom/wife.
But as my husband likes me to remember: the most important to have a healthy & energetic home is to have a healthy & energetic mom/wife - and he is SO right!

With this mind, I have re-organized my priorities so that I could spend more time on being healthy, to the profit and happiness of the entire family. Working or not, Health is a priority for the entire family.
I figured I would love to share what I find works amazingly, and if I could help other moms/women, I would feel I have accomplished something bigger <3

  • France is one of the healthiest country in the world and French women have a lot of healthy routines that are "common sense" for them, as this how we grew up, but that are not in the US --> I will share all of those with you.
  • How to get fitter, toner with the little time that we have: I am doing some daily exercises that have helped me a lot get back into shape after the 40 lbs I took (and now lost) with this 1st baby.
  • Some of my favorite recipes to enhance your health
  • Healthy recipes, things to do, results of researches and comparison between the French/European and US lifestyle to ensure a healthy baby.
Thank you again for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your reading! :)

Also please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any question / suggestion of things you would like to discuss.

~ Virginie
